LTD “DOBELES ŪDENS” is a municipality established corporation that provides Dobele’s  citizens, institutions and businesses with centralized water supply and sewerage services. Based on the LTD “DOBELES ŪDENS “, Dobele’s municipality concluded a contract stating that we are the only water supplier and sewerage service provider in Dobele’s district territory till 2020. The company’s main activity is waterpurification and supply, as well as waste water collection and purification. Also company offers sewer and public infrastructure maintenance, and other SERVICES.

The company’s characteristic

According to the Public Service Regulatory Commissionconferred license NO. U10004 / 3, Ltd. “DOBELES ŪDENS” their main services are entitled to be provided in the Dobele district, which includes the town of Dobele and Annenieki, Auri, Bērze, Biksti, Dobele, Jaunbērze, Krimūnu, Naudītes, Penkules, Zebrenes parishes. The service areas are located near Lielupes basin, and have been approved by management with aim to improve surface and ground water quality, promoting their sustainable development.

Dobeles district runs:

• 16 water preparation stations;
• 16 wastewater treatment plants;
• 33 artesian wells;
• 21 sewage pumping stations.

The total length of the nets in Dobeles district are:

• Water supply – 100 km;
• Domestic sewage – 103 km.

OTHER SERVICES Ltd. “DOBELES ŪDENS” provides in a wider area – in Dobele’s region and outside it.

Development aims 

The company’s development aims according to the Development Concept 2015 – 2020:

• To ensure quality water and sewerage services in Dobeles district with economically justified tariffs for individuals and legal persons;
• To develop the water management infrastructure and wastewaters management infrastructure in Dobele region;
• To service technologically efficient and high-quality full-cycle water management;
• To increase proportion of sustainable water management systems development and access to services.

A short view of history

SIA “DOBELES ŪDENS” was established in 1991 together with Dobele’s district water and sewage farm management, which began to provide water and wastewater services. The company’s registered office was in the Tirgus Square 4, Dobele, where corporate offices were established as well as the technical part. In December 1996 the company was renamed to Dobele’s Municipality non-profit organization “Water supply and wastewaters” and by virtue of company’s business expansion, the technical part was transferred to Noliktavas Street 5. With the name of Dobele Municipality Ltd.”DOBELES ŪDENS” , the company was incorporated in the Commercial Register in September 2004. Because of the administrative-territorial reform in August 2009, 100% of the company’s shareholders became Dobele’s Municipality and the company was re-registered in the Commercial Register under the name of SIA “DOBELES ŪDENS”.  In the end of 2011, the Noliktavas Street  buildings repair was started to be able to connect the company’s administration and the technical part, and optimize maintenance costs. In December 2013, the company moved all its operations to the Noliktavas street 5, thereby creating the opportunity to more effectively provide and to give all information about the company’s services in one place.
